Officially graduated from Full Sail University🎓 last week.

This is a personal note from her:

“After years that held more loss, rebuilding, and quiet survival than I ever expected to carry, I’m standing here praising God for this accomplishment. 🙌🏽

This achievement is deeply personal. It’s not just about finishing school—it’s about finding my way back to myself. There were seasons when simply getting through the day took everything I had. Seasons where dreams felt distant, and the idea of a “future” felt uncertain or out of reach.

But somewhere along the way, I chose to keep going. Not because it was easy, and not because I always felt strong—but because I refused to let my story end in the middle of the hardest chapters.

This degree became more than an education. It became healing. It became focus when life felt scattered. It became proof that even after deep loss and long silence, creativity and purpose can return in new ways.

I carry my daughter, Camille Rae' Crenshaw, in my heart in everything I do. I carry every hard day, every moment I had to start over, and every small step forward that no one else may have seen. And I carry the pride of knowing I didn’t give up on myself.

To my twin sons Keelan Winston & Kienan Winston, my family, my friends, salon family, and the instructors and classmates who supported me along the way—thank you for holding space for me, encouraging me, and reminding me that I could still build something meaningful.

I don’t take this moment lightly. I understand now that healing and growth don’t have timelines, and it is never too late to begin again.

This is not just a graduation. It is a quiet victory. A personal return. A beginning I once wasn’t sure I’d get to see.

And now, I step forward—still becoming, still creating, still believing.”
