🌿 Let's talk about Wild Lettuce, one of nature's pain relieving plants! I get a lot of request for a video on this plant, so here it is! Wild lettuce (Lactuca genus) has been used for centuries as a pain reliever and sleep aid. The chemical constituents found in wild lettuce in the milky latex or Lactucarium have been studied for various properties relating to the central nervous system and pain centers in the brain. It is often used for sleep issues and minor pains such as arthritis, back pain, neck pain and migraines. Otherwise known as “Opium Lettuce”, this plant does not contain any opiates. Unfortunately, many people are misled to believe that is the case, but if I had to compare the effects of wild lettuce to any medication, it would be motrin. In this video I am making resin using wild lettuce. This resin is shelf stable and ready to use when needed.
