For whomever wants to read it ...

Far too much of what we're told (yes, even present day) as it pertains to various areas of science (food science, and many others) is RELIGION dressed up like science, which is then taught see facts and backed up by consensus (which is NOT science), which manipulates masses into agreement.

Now,we have claims that have no real or adequate scientific backing. The claims serve invested companies, and the politicians and organizations whose pockets the companies fill.

Can't really prove red meat is bad? Skew the information, and primarily use studies based on questionnaires (shoddy ones at that), then throw around terms like "associated with", "linked to", "correlated with", and "increased risk of", to arrive at a false substantiation.

Can't really prove that saturated fats are bad? Just create a shoddy laboratory method where you feed mice/rats ONLY fats and CORNSTARCH. No one should expect illness from that, right??? While we're at it, we won't include anything about the distinct difference in how the body needs to use saturated fats compared to how it needs to use unsaturated fats, and let's purposely leave out the full functionality of LDL cholesterol, and the FACT that unsaturated fats CAN'T do the important job of saturated fats where LDL is concerned. So, we can create a picture that looks like unsaturated fats are good, and saturated fats are bad.

Oh, did I mention that the primary sources for unsaturated fats are grains, seeds, nuts, legumes? Did I mention how much Big Grain and Big Soy pump into making sure studies turn out favorably for them, and making sure there's CONSENSUS (including throughout government agencies and associated organizations)?

"There is an increasingly uneasy relationship between hard science and public policy.
... science has in some instances been seduced by the more ancient lures of politics and publicity
... I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled.
... Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world. In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus. There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. Period.
... let me remind you that the track record of the consensus is nothing to be proud of. Let’s review a few cases. In past centuries, the greatest killer of women was fever following childbirth. One woman in six died of this fever. In 1795, Alexander Gordon of Aberdeen suggested that the fevers were infectious processes, and he was able to cure them. The consensus said no.

In 1843, Oliver Wendell Holmes claimed puerperal fever was contagious, and presented compelling evidence. The consensus said no.

In 1849, Semmelweiss demonstrated that sanitary techniques virtually eliminated puerperal fever in hospitals under his management. The consensus said he was a Jew, ignored him, and dismissed him from his post. There was in fact no agreement on puerperal fever until the start of the twentieth century. Thus the consensus took one hundred and twenty five years to arrive at the right conclusion despite the efforts of the prominent “skeptics” around the world, skeptics who were demeaned and ignored. And despite the constant ongoing deaths of women.

There is no shortage of other examples. In the 1920s in America, tens of thousands of people, mostly poor, were dying of a disease called pellagra. The consensus of scientists said it was infectious, and what was necessary was to find the “pellagra germ.” The US government asked a brilliant young investigator, Dr. Joseph Goldberger, to find the cause. Goldberger concluded that diet was the crucial factor. The consensus remained wedded to the germ theory.

Goldberger demonstrated that he could induce the disease through diet. He demonstrated that the disease was not infectious by injecting the blood of a pellagra patient into himself, and his assistant. ...."

Eczema, thyroid issues, Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, joint pain, leaky gut, ....to name a few

Remember me saying that we shouldn't be feeding our babies oatmeal, rice, and other cereals? The food companies benefit, but...

You constantly see me telling you to reduce or eliminate seed foods (seeds, nuts, grains, beans/legumes). THIS is one of many reasons. These are foods that are all HIGH NICKEL.

A significant amount of the population actually has nickel allergy, and ingesting large amounts of nickel can be a problem for those who don't.

The vegan and plant-based protein folks won't tell you, because they can't tell you what they don't know about.

*****
Note: while the phytic acid in these foods DOES inhibit absorption of most important mineral metals (iron, calcium, selenium, magnesium, potassium, ...), copper and nickel are NOT significantly affected by it. You will absorb the nickel.

Although selenium can help prevent absorption of nickel, it will not help when combined with seed foods because phytic acid binds the selenium.

When we don't have proper knowledge, we can do harm to ourselves. There is so much misinformation making meat out to be bad, when it's actually a superfood.

It's unfortunate that some actually think that because meat is blamed for gout, then it must mean it's bad.

The reason for gout is lack of various nutrients, which leads to dysfunction, which leads to uric acid falling out of solution and then it builds up in certain places. The uric acid itself is NOT the cause of the problem, its buildup is a result of the problem.

The human body also produces purines, not just the meat we eat ... and uric acid is actually an important and predominant antioxidant in our bodies. WAIT! No one told us meat/fish, dairy, and eggs were ALSO antioxidant sources. That's so sad!

Uric acid is also necessary for certain immune system responses and it actually helps us against several diseases.
... for the record, meat isn't the cause of any cancers either. It's actually extremely good at helping to kill cancer cells. I meant it when I said it's a superfood.

Those benefits of meat are significantly reduced when we eat grains (like bread, pasta, rice, oats), or seeds/nuts, and beans with the meat. ... and it's these foods that actually lead to the damage in the gut that contributes to colon cancer.
