One of the biggest questions I get is, “Will my brows stay this dark?”

The answer is no. Freshly completed brows always appear darker and more defined because the pigment is sitting in the upper layers of the skin. As your skin naturally goes through the healing process, the color will gradually soften and settle into a more natural appearance.

It’s also completely normal to experience light flaking or for the brows to seem lighter for a short period during healing. Trust the process! Your skin is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.

My client came in with sparse brows and was drawing them on each day by following the brow hair she had. While that felt natural to her, it wasn’t creating the most flattering shape for her face.

Using custom brow mapping, I designed brows to enhance her natural features—adding fullness to the fronts, softening the arch, and creating a shape that beautifully complements her face.

The result? A customized Combo Brow with soft nano strokes in the front for a natural, hair-like appearance.

This transformation is extra special because she actually has no natural brow hair at all—so every bit of shape, dimension, and softness you see was created with permanent makeup. ✨

This fresh Combo Brow features soft nano strokes through the fronts with shading throughout the rest of the brow for added definition and the illusion of natural brow hair.

Because she came to me with previous permanent makeup that had undergone laser and saline removal, her skin had already experienced some trauma. That meant I needed to adjust my technique. I changed my needle configuration and worked with fewer passes to minimize additional trauma to the skin.

She loves a very dark, defined brow, so we chose my darkest pigment—but instead of heavily saturating the skin, I kept the implantation softer. The result? Bold, dark brows without an overly heavy or harsh appearance. 🤎

And the best part? After I mapped her brows and handed her the mirror, she said I “nailed it”—no tweaking necessary! 🙌🏼
