My personal need for something more developed over 5-6 years ago when my hairdresser at the time told me that I should get my thyroid checked. Literally, this came out of the blue! She had done my hair since I was a child, so she knew my hair and showed me the breakage of my hair around my face and underneath. She then proceeded to show me how my hair line was receding!!! 😣 And sadly, I could see it and I IMMEDIATELY became self conscious. 😳 I asked her what I could do to get the growth back? I had noticed my hair falling out more than usual too, but I thought it was hormonal. She told me there was really nothing I could really do to get the growth back, that I needed to get my thyroid checked and get on thyroid regulating meds immediately to at least try to save the hair I had. She said, hopefully, the meds could give my body what it needed to at least stop the breakage and the hair loss, but it wouldn’t REGROW the hair I’ve lost. She also told me to stop pulling my hair back in ponytails. 😦 Like seriously, I get HOT, I have long hair...how could I stop doing this? 🤷🏻‍♀️

After going to the Dr., I found out I did indeed have an inactive thyroid and was put on medication. Unfortunately though, even after years of regulating my meds, it NEVER helped my hair. It kept breaking, it kept falling it (I mean, huge clumps in my shower drain), and it kept receding. 😭

I didn’t think Proluxe could help me with my need because it was a health issue causing this, but just look at the growth of baby hairs that are NOT breaking bc they are stronger than before! This is just about 1 1/2 - 2 months of using the products too!
