I’ve dealt with difficult landlords before, but this situation has been the most extreme. On the 8th, I arrived at work to find all of my belongings gone and the locks changed without any prior notice. The building had numerous issues, including mice, mold, water damage, and electrical problems. I approached the landlord professionally to address these concerns, but instead of committing to fix the issues, they informed me I needed to vacate the premises. I pursued legal action, only to face retaliation with this unjust and illegal removal of my property.

Despite paying my rent and abiding by the rules, over half of my belongings were ruined during this ordeal. Rebuilding what I’ve worked so hard to create over the past 23 years is heartbreaking and overwhelming. I feel devastated, embarrassed, and uncertain about how my business will recover from this sudden upheaval.

While I want nothing more than to stay in bed and grieve, I know I must keep moving forward. This is a challenging transition, and I won’t pretend it’s easy, but I trust that in the end, justice will prevail. I will continue to fight for what I’ve built and find peace through the legal process.
