Fun Fact: I actually considered naming my salon Truvy’s, after Dolly Parton’s character in Steel Magnolias.💖

Steel Magnolias has always been one of my favorite movies, and I was actually named after Shelby, the main character.

If you’ve seen the movie, you know Shelby’s wedding colors were “blush and bashful.” That little detail is actually where the name Blush came from.

So while I didn’t end up naming my salon Truvy’s, Steel Magnolias still played a pretty big part in the story behind Blush Hair Salon. 💇🏼‍♀️
