Story Time! This goes back to the People Magazine article i was featured in. I literally bought all the magazines in my area because i remember growing up saying (Much like i said for Ebony and Essence Magazines) “i’m going to be in that magazine one day.” Much like everything else...it came to pass. One question they asked that didn’t make the final print was “What’s your inspiration?” That was easy. My conversation with my Grandma Sara Hill(My Mama’s Momma). Let’s go back! After she had a stroke i’d have her come down to the Central Rec. My Goal? Was to have her hitting Jump shots on the side she had the stroke on. With that been said, i had her hitting all nets in no time. She was so amped she called my Aunt Dee Dee to tell her about it. Probably the conversation that set the tone for the rest of my life happened on Highway 93 in Central, Sc. We were walking after our workout and she said “Sunny boy I just want you to be the best. No matter what you do, just be the best.” I’ve always took that with me. Anytime i want to coast and be cool, i literally think of that conversation and remember my promise to be the best and give my best. It’s amazing how even in death my Grandmama keeps me accountable. Always remember...the people who were placed in your life were there for a reason! God Knew better….❤️
