WHY CAN’T YOU WAX WHILE USING RETINOL OR VITAMIN C?

Retinol and strong vitamin C products can make your skin more sensitive and prone to irritation. Waxing may remove more than just hair—potentially taking off the superficial layer of skin, which can cause redness, irritation, or even skin lifting.

To keep your skin safe, suspend the use of retinol, vitamin C, and other strong active ingredients for a couple of days before your wax appointment.

Always let your esthetician know what skincare products you’re currently using before waxing.
