Love Your Hair by Connie
Natural-looking extensions and dimensional color designed to fit real life.
I help busy women feel confident and put together through a calm, intentional salon experience in Dover focused on quality, longevity, and ease.
I am a hairstylist who barely has time to do her own hair.
Three kids, three dogs, three cats, a business, and a house that is never quiet. I go a million miles a minute. So when a client tells me she cannot be in a salon every four weeks, I am not being polite when I say I get it. I actually get it.
That is why I do the work I do. Low maintenance color. Extensions that do not need babysitting. Hair that works around your life instead of asking for more of it.
Taking a few hours for yourself is not a luxury. It is what keeps you going.
Send this to the friend who keeps saying she will book something for herself eventually.

Lived-in color is harder to do than you think.
Anyone can make hair lighter. Making it lighter in a way that still looks good in ten weeks, with no hard line and no brassy surprise, is a different skill.
That’s the whole thing I built this business around. Color placed where it will grow out beautifully, so you are not back in my chair in four weeks because your roots gave you away.
Low maintenance does not mean low impact. It means it was planned.
Comment COLOR if you’re tired of chasing your grow-out.

K-tip is still one of my favorite methods.
Small individual bonds applied strand by strand. They move independently, which means she can put her hair up, part it wherever she wants, and nothing sits in a line she has to work around.
Her hair is red and purple, so the hair did not come that way. I custom colored every strand of her extensions to match before a single bond went in. That is its own appointment before the appointment, and it is the only way a set like this actually disappears into your own hair.
It takes longer. I’m fine with that. I do not rush this work.
If your color is anything other than standard, the extensions can still match. It just has to be planned.
Comment EXTENSIONS and we’ll talk through what yours would take.
She came in frustrated with the size of her ponytail.
Very fine, very thin hair. She wasn’t asking for dramatic length. She just wanted her hair to feel like there was some of it.
Two rows, meshless, sitting flat against her head so nothing shows and nothing pulls. A little extra length, and a whole lot more fullness.
Length gets all the attention. Density is what actually makes hair look like hair.
She was so happy with it, and honestly so was I.
Comment EXTENSIONS if this sounds like your hair.
Fresh Revival is my product of the month.
It is my aerosol dry shampoo. Talc free, rice starch based, no chalky cast and no grit left sitting at your root.
Here’s the part people miss. Every time you wash, you pull a little color out. Washing less is the easiest way to make your color last, and this makes that doable. It has UV protection in it too, which slows fade even further.
If you have extensions, this one matters even more. Your bonds and wefts do not love being soaked every other day, and extension hair does not get natural oil from your scalp the way your hair does. Stretching your washes protects both. Just keep it at the root between your rows and brush it through. Do not saturate the attachment points.
Low maintenance is not laziness. It’s a plan.
Save this if your color never seems to last as long as you want it to.
The hard part of this color was not the color.
She has two rows of sewn wefts. I custom colored her extensions a vivid rose gold, and then built a permanent formula for her own hair to match it.
Here’s why that matters. Extension hair holds onto color longer than your hair does. If you match them perfectly on day one and do nothing else, they stop matching by week four, because your hair fades and the extensions do not.
So the formula on her natural hair was built to fade at the same rate. That is the part nobody sees, and it’s the reason this still looks right in a month.
Save this if you have extensions and your color never seems to stay matched.
Out with the old. In with the new.
A full head of I-tips came out today. The summer sun had lifted her hair a lot lighter than where we started, so we went deeper with the new set and did an all over color on her own hair to bring everything back together.
That is what a hair change appointment actually looks like. New hair in, old color corrected, both planned at the same time so nothing is fighting each other.
She walked out looking like fall.
Comment EXTENSIONS and I’ll walk you through what a new set looks like.

Nobody warns you about this list. Here's the roundup, facts and side-eye included 😉
Falling asleep with wet hair swells and softens the bond. That's why it loosens faster overnight. Cotton pillowcases pull moisture out of the hair shaft and rough up the cuticle while you sleep, silk doesn't. Skip the brush-through before bed and tangles set at the mid-shaft, not just the ends. That's where the real knots start.
And yes. Spicy time without a plan makes the list too 😉 We see you, empty nesters. We see you, back-to-school parents with the house to yourselves for the first time in a decade. Friction is friction, no matter where it comes from.
This isn't about being careful every second of the day. It's about knowing which five minutes actually matter.
Come talk to me if your extensions need a refresh from any of the above. No judgment. Just a plan.

I don't tell clients what they want to hear. I tell them what they need to hear.
That's not always the easy conversation. But it's the honest one, and it's why people keep coming back. A realistic plan beats a pretty promise every time.
Honestly, would you rather hear the polished version or the real one?

Gray blending isn't about hiding anything. It's about working with what's actually growing in.
I get a lot of clients transitioning away from full coverage color, and the fear is always the same. That it'll look washed out or unfinished. It doesn't, when it's done as a blend instead of a switch.
Softer roots, less upkeep, and it still looks intentional. That's the whole point.
Come talk to me if you've been thinking about making the switch.
