Popjoy's Barber Shop

Today is the 12th anniversary of the opening of Popjoy's Barber Shop. I am very grateful for the many loyal clients who have supported my business over the last 12 years. Thank you! Your patronage, and more important, your friendship mean a lot to me.

Thank you to all our loyal clients! We are very grateful to our clients who not only choose Popjoy's Barber Shop for their haircut needs, but who also recommend us to their friends and family. This summer, Andy is available regularly, and is currently accepting new clients. Please contact us at 484-459-6369 to schedule an appointment. We will be closed on July 4th to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation.

Popjoy's Barber Shop will be closed from May 11 through May 25. We will not be responding to phone calls or texts during our break. Much of the week following Memorial Day is already booked.

Dear friends and clients! Thank you for choosing Popjoy's Barber Shop for your hair styling needs this past year. We are very grateful. Unfortunately, we are now booked through the end of 2025, and will only be available for haircuts starting in 2026. We look forward to welcoming any new clients starting January 5 or later. Andy is accepting new clients on Thursdays and Saturdays. Allen is booked most days.

I'm taking some vacation time at Thanksgiving We are booked for the week of Thanksgiving, but will be scheduling appointments for the week of December 1. Andy, my wonderful apprentice, is taking appointments for that week. Let me know if you'd like to schedule with him!

Starting August 25, 2025, I'll be taking some vacation days. The shop will be closed most days from August 25 through September 2. The one exception is Friday, August 29. I still have some availabilty Saturday, August 23, so if you need a cut, please contact me soon for one of those slots.

So, I am posting to encourage you to plan ahead for your haircut. My apprentice, Andy, is available most Saturdays. This month I'm celebrating 20 years as a licensed barber. November 16, 2004 was the date that PA issued my first license. Since that time, I've earned both the Barber Manager license and the Barber Teacher license. Now I have a student barber training with me at my shop for the first time. Thanks to all my clients who have stood with me over the years. I truly appreciate you!

This past week was unbelievably busy, and I never got a chance to post on Facebook that Wednesday, July 31, was the 10th anniversary of opening my shop. I celebrated the occasion with my wonderful landlords, Skip and Janine, with a dinner at La Sponda in Downingtown. They are the best landlords and friends that anyone could wish for. I am so thankful for the many loyal clients who have made my business a success over the past ten years. I truly appreciate the wonderful friendships that I have gained over the 20 years that I have worked in this field, and especially the last 10 that I've had my own shop. I am grateful to all those who have chosen me as their barber. Thank you!
