Lashes should frame the features and maximize harmony, never overpower.

Prom lashes for Jada ✨

Customized lash mapping built around her gorgeous, slightly feline/elongated eye shape and facial harmony. Airy texture (negative space), controlled lift (tension), and balanced lower lashes. A perfect example of Gestalt theory in lash design: using suggestion, direction, and visual balance to enhance what’s already there.

Swipe for the before. 🖤

Lash artistry belongs in editorials, campaigns, fashion imagery, and visual storytelling…and truly, I think our industry deserves more of that placement + positioning.

I created this editorial with the same intention I bring to every client set I design at Ace Studio: creating something customized, expressive, and visually impactful.

More from this series soon. 🖤

Had the chance to speak with CanvasRebel about my background in fashion, creative direction, and how that shaped the vision behind Ace Studio.

Building this space has been one of the hardest and most rewarding things I’ve ever done. 🖤

What is an editorial lash set?

I’ve realized lash industry terminology never fully resonated with me because I think about lash design in editorial terms. Visual tension, negative space, softness against geometry.

Like Diana Vreeland said, “the eye has to travel.”

Sometimes a set feels bulky or heavy and you can’t totally explain why…it’s because the design has no room to breathe.

That balance of structure, movement and softness is what I’m always chasing in my work.

Even as a lash designer, was next-level inspiration. From Chuck Amos’s sketches to ‘s deep dive into beauty history, to witnessing styling a shoot live, EVERY moment was fire…even the snacks. I was honored to be there, thanks to Naeemah, who happens to be my lash client. I’m walking away with my own fire lit—ready to bring that energy right back to Ace Studio.
