One of the most common questions I get from artists is, “how do I know when the lamination is actually done processing?”

And the answer isn’t a timer… it’s technique.

I’m always watching how the brow hairs respond, not just how long the solution has been sitting. I’ll brush the hairs in different directions and pay attention to the movement. If the hairs are soft, flexible, and moving effortlessly without resistance, that’s when I know they’re ready.

A lot of artists make the mistake of thinking the brows need to stick straight up—but that’s not the goal. Over-processing to achieve that look is exactly what compromises the integrity of the hair.

Also keep in mind, the front of the brows will almost always process faster than the rest, so being intentional with your timing matters more than anything.

Using hybrid tint, I was able to stain the skin and build that fullness, especially through the tail where she was most sparse. Paired with a soft, balanced arch, this gave her a defined brow without it feeling too harsh or overdone.
