What is Somatic Philosophy? Somatic Touch Therapy is a type of physical therapy that involves touch and focuses on the nervous system. Over my time as an esthetician I have adopted a somatic philosophy and incorporated touch therapy ideals during facial sessions. This is mostly practiced during the massage portions of the service. Focusing on restoring and moving your Qi ( your life force energy or your lymph ) throughout your body and lymphatic system. This method encourages deep relaxation and is good to use to move stagnation and old trauma energy that is stored in our bodies.
