Claims that biotin will help you grow your hair are quite unfounded and biotin is abundant knowledge our diets. If you are concerned about hair loss, please see a Trichologist and get your blood work done so we know what you are actually deficient in.

Medications and topical products don’t always address the reasons why your hair may be falling out. Treatments for genetic hair loss are going to differ from treatments for alopecia areata. However, there are likely to be treatments, medications, and topical products that can help with multiple hair loss disorders. But, if you are using a DHT blocker for alopecia areata, your chances are high that you won’t see results.

Now, let’s talk about supplements. Hair is the barometer of our health. If our hair starts to shed, there is something else going on in the body. Hair, skin, and nail supplements claim to help strengthen your hair, skin, and nails, but what if your body puts those nutrients towards other body systems that are required for survival? You may not notice a change in your hair. But, it is likely that it helped somewhere else.

This is why I analyze blood work and look at your scalp and hair under a microscope. Doing this helps me better understand your body’s needs so that the recommended treatments and topical products can actually work. I focus on total body health to heal your hair.

One more thing: hair growth takes time, money, and consistency. Good results are when we can see changes within 6 months. Be patient and kind to yourself.
