Grandma crossed to the other side of the veil this afternoon. No doubt escorted by many angels that had been waiting for her. She had a love of genealogy and knew so many wonderful stories about my ancestors. I know she had a personal and spiritual relationship with them. I’m sure her reunion is grand and that she had a line of people waiting to greet her, after her mommy and daddy got to. We miss you so much earthside.

Grandma Joy won’t be on this earth much longer. Her body has started a quick decline and she seems to be having conversations with angels and with visitors. Saying goodbye is never easy but I know she has some joyful reunions ahead of her. I have no doubt her mommy and daddy will be bringing her home. Somehow, 93 years doesn’t feel long enough but I know she is ready. I took Alec to say goodbye. I wasn’t sure that Grace’s little heart could handle it. Teresa and I sang a song for Grandma and it was amazing to watch as her whole body relaxed as we sang. Music is so powerful. Afterwards, we got to hold her hand and hug her. As I watched her body begin to tense again, I started to play in her hair and rub her scalp gently. She immediately relaxed again so I just kept going. To be fair, I relax just like that when I get my scalp rubbed. The mix of emotions is wild. I don’t want her to suffer or be in pain (thankful for pain meds and hospice care) but I’m going to miss her.
Happy Sunday!
This babe needed a small refresh. Added some well-placed highlights to give her an easy grow out. While those highlights were processing, I refreshed the rest of her blonde hair.

6 years.
How did that happen? It feels like it was just yesterday that Alf was sobbing as he held my newborn baby girl in the hospital. I never asked him why because I felt like the answer would have been too painful. I assumed he was crying because he knew that he wouldn’t be around to get to know my sweet Grace. Maybe he was crying because of this beautiful new spirit that had just entered our lives. Maybe it was a mix of both. For me, I was sobbing because I knew what the future held. Six months later, he was gone. Alec was almost 3 and Grace was only six months old. I felt like we had been robbed of so many memories with Grandpa.
However, even though I have many moments of anger and sadness, I can’t help but feel so grateful that Suzi met another wonderful man, fell in love and got married. John has been the best kind of Grandpa. He easily took on that role as he added an extra 18 grandkids to his family. I love him dearly. I love how much he loves Suzi and how obvious that is. I love how much he loves my kids. I miss Alf so much and I know that pain will never go away. But, the love we feel for John heals our hearts. My kids have a Guardian Angel Grandpa and two living Grandpas. Lots of Grandpa love in our family.
This kind of color request can come in many different names:
Balayage
Hand Painting
Foiliyage
Lived-in Blonde
And I’m sure there are more that I’m forgetting about 🤷🏻♀️
Trends on Pinterest kill me because the same techniques are coming back with different names. However, in our consultation, I’ll make sure to discuss with you your lifestyle, hair goals, routines and actual desire for your appointment.
Courtney wants to hide her Wisdom Highlights that are coming in but she has three small kids and she is an accountant so she needs something that won’t require a lot of maintenance.
Little tiny highlights almost up to the root will give the illusion that the gray in her hair is actually blonde highlights.
This video doesn’t do the color justice, but we were all smiles afterwards. She is ready to tackle the working mom and wife life.
What kind of person are you? Do you prefer more maintenance or less with your hair?
I’ll tell ya what…..
Creating all these transformations makes me want to change my hair all the time.
When it comes down to it though, I have been staying pretty neutral in my hair color lately. Whenever I do something different, I end up really missing my brown hair. However….. red is sounding fun again! But, so does purple and green so….. 🤷🏻♀️I did go a little lighter for summer!
This is my life. Reality is, I just need a lot of wigs so I can change my hair as often as the Kardashians 🤣
Did you get a different hair color for summertime?

Happy birthday to my wonderful, thoughtful, beautiful, sassy, kind, fun, silly little Grace.
This girl has been my best little friend since day one. She gives me all the hugs and kisses that I could ever want. She still snuggles me. She will still fall asleep in my arms, and if she doesn’t fall asleep, she fakes it so that I will carry her to bed. She wants to spend every moment with me. She draws a new picture for me everyday that I’m at work and leaves it on my night stand to find when I get home. She says and does some of the funniest things, one of them being her obsession with my b***s. She has brought me more joy than I ever could have anticipated. She remembers our angel baby often and asks me how I’m doing or tells me that she misses the baby. She says she wants to be a hairstylist because she wants to be just like me and she wants to come work with me so we don’t ever have to be apart.
Plain and simple, she is a joy to be around. I’m not sure why I am so lucky to get to be her mother, but I am so grateful. I love this little 6 year old like crazy! @ Saratoga Springs, Utah
MicroPoint Extensions are so cool! I have been looking for these kind of extensions for so long and it has been a fun challenge to learn and install these.
These extensions are meant for those with thinning hair. They do NOT add length more than 8 inches but they do add thickness. Depending on which zone we fill in, I may add anywhere from 600-1800 hairs in one visit!
Each Cyber hair is attached to individual hairs and they grow out and shed or are cut out with your natural hair.

Today, we celebrate 10 years of marriage.
I can’t say that it’s always been easy or even that we have always liked each other but I can say that we have constantly chosen each other.
I love this man very much. He is handsome, smart, hard working, patient, doesn’t yell and he has put up with me for this long 😂
We have learned a lot from the hard times and we have come out stronger because of them. It’s not always going to be easy but I do look forward to spending forever with Tony. @ Saratoga Springs, Utah

I have been a little quiet on social media this week. We had a much needed, family spring break!
We headed to Mesquite, NV for some fun in the sun. We enjoyed perfect weather, lots of climbing, swimming, sunshine and visiting with family. The kids did awesome! Rocky gets nervous in the car but he absolutely loved acting like a mountain goat and climbing around with us. He took every opportunity to soak up the sun too.
I am so grateful for my career and I know how lucky I am to love it as much as I do. I am looking forward to returning to work on Monday and taking care of some wonderful people!
Did you do something fun for Spring Break? I suuuuuuuck at planning vacations so give me all the ideas! @ Mesquite, Nevada

I often hesitate to post photos of my work. I know it may not seem like it, but I am so critical of these dang photos! I always notice the one hair out of place or whatever it might be.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here, I keep thinking “I should have straightened those Extensions so that they would have laid flatter.” Let’s be real though, after a 5 hour install, my brain is dead so that didn’t happen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I LOVE keratin extensions. These are also known as Strand by Strand or fusion extensions. With proper care and maintenance, these are designed to last 4-6 months! Plus, I can cut these into micro extensions in the front so that they hide even more.

Have you ever considered getting extensions? What has prevented you from doing so? @ Draper, Utah
Why does hair turn yellow?
Keratin! Keratin is a protein and part of the structure of our hair and guess what color it is.... that’s right. It’s yellow.
If you have ever been bleached really blonde, you may have seen the scary yellow color it is before your hair is toned. If you have embraced your natural gray hair, maybe you have noticed the yellowing that happens on the ends?
Don’t worry. You don’t have to have yellow hair. There are many ways to counteract this. The yellow in this video is exactly the yellow I want to see when you want white-blonde hair. Also why you have to have a toner.
