Let's talk about purple shampoo overuse.
We all love that icy white glow that purple shampoo can create. But a violet hue is a sign that you need to back off from using it so frequently, especially on white hair - tinted white or natural white.
Purple shampoo is great at neutralizing unwanted warmth from the hair, or yellow tones. But overuse can leave your hair with streaks of violet.
PRO TIP: Use violet shampoo only when you are starting to see the yellow tones shining through. That might be once a week, once a month, or once in awhile.
