🌸 Why the name PMOS?

PCOS has never been only about the ovaries. The condition can affect hormone regulation, metabolism, ovulation, menstrual cycles, fertility, and even skin and hair.

The term PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) aims to reflect this broader picture.

And an important fact: the ovarian follicles associated with PCOS are not the same as conventional cysts. Plus, not everyone with PCOS has a polycystic ovarian appearance.

Understanding the name can help us understand the condition more accurately. 💜

Your period can change from month to month, but knowing your usual pattern makes it easier to notice when something feels different. Keep track of your flow, cycle length, pain, and clot size. If changes become frequent, heavy, or disruptive, don't ignore them. Your menstrual health deserves attention and proper care. 🩷
