If you’ve walked through the doors of The Colour Lounge, there’s a good chance you’ve been greeted by Paige’s warm smile. Today, we’re sharing something very close to our hearts. 🤍
Paige, our Business Manager and such an important part of the heart behind The Colour Lounge, is beginning a journey for Hodgkin’s lymphoma treatment.

If you’ve spent time at The Colour Lounge, chances are you know Paige. She’s the kind, smiling face you see when you walk through our doors, the person always willing to help, and someone who has a way of making everyone around her feel genuinely cared for. Behind the scenes, she is the person who keeps so many pieces of our salon moving, supports our team endlessly, and pours so much of herself into making The Colour Lounge what it is.

But to us, Paige is so much more than our Business Manager. She is our friend, our family, and someone we love deeply. 🤍

Paige is the person who is always showing up for everyone else, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.

As she begins treatment, our greatest hope is that Paige and her family can put their energy where it belongs—on her healing, her health, and being together—without carrying the added financial weight that comes with treatment, appointments, time away from work, and everything the months ahead may bring.

One of Paige’s childhood friends has created a GoFundMe to help surround Paige, her husband, and their family with love and support during this time.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still working every other Monday- they are open for online booking!

Thursdays are continuing to be my later evening.

Make sure to get your kids booked for back to school cuts as we only have one month of summer left! 😩 (where did it go!?)

I am officially headed to Texas to spend some time with family, and on then off to the ocean on my annual cruise!

Just a little “where we started” ➡️ “where we’re at.”

Color corrections are always such a hot topic because what may not look like a correction to someone else… is absolutely a correction to a hairstylist. 😉

We’ve put in a total of 11 hours on this gorgeous head of hair so far. Her goal? Brighter, blended, dimensional, and healthy. She came in with inspo pics, and from the start I told her I’d get her as close to that dream hair as possible — while still protecting the integrity of her hair every step of the way.

Was I expecting her to lift THIS bright by round two? Honestly… no. 🤭

Are we completely obsessed with the result? ABSOLUTELY. 👏

Good hair takes patience, consistency, proper at-home care, and trust in your stylist. And this is proof that the process is worth it. ✨

IT TRULY IS, OFFICIALLY… ✨BLONDE SEASON✨

… and I am having SO much fun creating dimension, brightness, and custom tones for all of my blondies. 🥳

Because the perfect blonde? It doesn’t come straight out of a tube or bottle. 😉🤭

Which brings me to my next topic… ROOT TAPS.

This blondie has a busy schedule and doesn’t have time for constant touch-ups — so low maintenance is the goal. At our first appointment a while back- she said she was also having a color put right on her roots after the blonde.

Maybe I’m a little old school… but I rarely root tap for lived-in blondes.

To me, “lived in” should actually mean low maintenance. I prefer to use my client’s natural hair as the base and built-in dimension/lowlight because nothing blends more naturally than your own color.

My technique gives that soft, seamless grow-out while still keeping brightness around the face and throughout the hair — giving longevity without the harsh maintenance of a full highlight ✨
