Wild Iris turned 4 this week, on the Summer Solstice!

Life has many paths we get to walk, and I’m so glad I chose this one. I am deeply grateful to every one of you who has trusted me, supported me, and been part of this journey. Wild Iris would not be what it is without all of you.

Thank you for allowing me to support and care for you along your own paths.

✨ Here’s to many more years! ✨

Hey folks! I’m practicing what I preach, taking some time for me, and stepping away from the massage table for a few weeks to recharge and unplug. I will be completely out of the studio from June 4th - June 22nd.

If you’d like to book a massage for when I return you can still use the link in my bio anytime to book online!

Thank you for understanding. I’ll see you on the table when I return renewed!

I have an exciting announcement! I am now offering Ashiatsu/Barefoot massage here at Wild Iris! I am offering barefoot sessions at a discounted rate for the month of May, bookable on my website.

I have been holding off on launching this modality for a few months just due to my self-critic and wanting to be perfectly confident and comfortable with it. But I have been thinking a lot about when I first finished massage school and only had the tools to do the “cookie cutter” massage they taught us in school. I learned more in my first month working in the field on so many different people than I did in my entire 9 months of schooling! When I remind myself of this, I realize that you don’t just learn something overnight and you’re not an expert instantly. It takes repetition and experience. I have been practicing massage for 6 years now and my massage style has evolved dramatically over the years. I have gravitated toward slow, steady and deep work, and I think that’s what drew me to ashiatsu. I am able to provide consistent, slow, steady, and deep pressure, and I’ve found it to be effective and very relaxing for the client because of the slow pace of the work. It’s very similar to the type of massage I already provide, just with my feet! I’ve found this work is also much more sustainable for me, putting less strain on my hands, arms and shoulders.

If you’ve been curious about Ashiatsu/Barefoot massage feel free to reach out, or book a session with me on my website!

Big big thanks to my dad for building me this sweet stool to work on! And thank you to LMT Refinery Minnesota for being a wonderful teacher and resource!

I’m so grateful to get to expand my practice like this, and I thank you all for the support and trust! 🙏🏻
