So often, someone comes in for a massage because of the weird pain in their neck, the tightness between their shoulders, or the body ache that just won’t seem to go away. Often as we begin to work with the body, it becomes clear that there may be more asking for attention.

The anger we swallowed.
The grief we never fully acknowledged.
The stress we’ve been carrying for far too long.
The feelings we decided we didn’t have the time, space, or permission to feel.

Our emotions aren’t good or bad. They’re simply part of being human. And while it can be tempting to push away the ones that feel uncomfortable, our bodies often have their own way of reminding us of what still needs our attention…… to notice what’s here, to feel what needs to felt, and give the body a little more space to soften, release, and let go.
