Yes, there’s definitely a general list of do’s and don’ts before a float session:
Avoid caffeine
Skip shaving
Have a light snack
Take a lukewarm shower
Make sure to dry your face before entering
However, the true secret to a great float experience lies in having nothing to worry about afterward.
Your mind and body will experience unparalleled relaxation following a float. Take the time to fully enjoy this state. I understand that everyone is busy, and I truly appreciate you taking an hour for yourself. Yet, do yourself a favor and avoid rushing into anything immediately after your float.

Appointments are on hold for the rest of the day.
My building is over a hundred years old.
That means some of the plumbing is that old too.
They’re busting up the concrete in the basement and hopefully will be finished by the end of the day today!
The disintegrating 100 year old house trap will be removed and we’ll be back at it tomorrow!

I have a current member who is moving to Florida and we always chat plants when they come in. They stopped by today and gifted me all kinds of soil and this queen of the night cutting.
I’m so sad that they are moving but I’m absolutely over the moon that they thought of me.
I truly love the little community I have!

I’m taking an extra day for myself on Sunday 9/6.
I’ll be back to regular hours on Tuesday.
Going to partake in the great Minnesota Get Together!
Take care of yourself and each other.
“I’d love to, but I think I’ll feel too claustrophobic.”
This is the most common response I receive, and it’s completely understandable, especially if you’ve never experienced our float pods before.
The image you have in your mind may not be accurate.
Some might picture an MRI tube, a tanning booth, or even a coffin filled with water—something with a lid just inches from your face.
Here’s what the reality is:
The interior of the Revolution pod measures 8 ½ feet long and 4 ½ feet wide, which is larger than a standard full-size bed.
At 5’9”, I can comfortably reach both sides with my arms fully extended, and when lying down, I can’t touch both ends. I also can’t reach the top of the lid when reaching straight up.
There’s ample space to stretch out in every direction.
Now, let’s address the other common concern: the feeling of being enclosed.
Rest assured, you’re not trapped. The lid doesn’t lock or seal; it’s supported by gas springs and can be easily moved with a single finger.
You can choose to have it open, partially open, or closed—it’s entirely up to you for the entire hour.
Feeling nervous? Just lower it partway when you get in, so you can easily reach it while lying down without needing to stand up.
What typically happens is this: guests arrive feeling anxious, see the float pod, relax completely, and then find they don’t want to leave by the end of the session.
