Check out this fantastic story from Minnesota Public Radio about local women’s hockey legend Bonnie Shea! At 81 years old, Bonnie is still lacing up her skates and competing on the ice, continuing a hockey journey that began when she was the only girl playing organized hockey in Duluth. (MPR News)

Her determination, love for the game, and pioneering spirit have inspired generations of female athletes. Despite facing barriers that prevented girls from playing high school hockey in her era, she never gave up on the sport she loves and is still skating today. (MPR News)
