I loved my short hair era it gave me a lot more self confidence not having hair to hide behind.

I had a client with hair similar to mine ask me what I did with my hair while it was long and my only answer was that I just hated it. When I thought about it, learning more about textured hair as a stylist and being on my own hair care journey has been the first time in my life I’ve actually learned how to do my hair and how to love it.

I preach so much to my curly clients how important it is to learn to love your hair and I wasn’t really taking my own advice until she asked me that question. From that point on, I’ve been pouring effort and love into my hair. It’s made such a difference in how I feel wearing my hair out. Let this post be a reminder to yourself that your curls/coils/waves are beautiful. Long or short, curly or straight, whether you are just starting to wear it in its natural state or aren’t ready yet. It’s all beautiful and I’m here to support you every step of the way on your hair journey no matter how you wear it.
