The results may be (somewhat) similar with both methods of hair removal however, the big key difference is in how long they last. You would have to shave every other day to maintain that smooth, hair-free skin – that's roughly 182 times in a year! Sugaring results last up to 4 weeks or longer because the hair is removed at the root. Can you imagine having one last thing to do in the mornings? 🙌🏼 Invest in yourselves, ladies!
Why switch over to sugaring?
🍬 Well, for one, it's truly organic! No petrochemicals, polymers, or other chemical additives. It's made of sugar, water, and lemon - all ingredients you can eat!
🍬 There's absolutely no risk of burns 🔥 as the paste uses your body's heat to warm up during application. Some Sugaristas do use a warmer to save time, but it's set and maintained at a very low temperature. The sugar paste will NEVER be warmer than body temp.
🍬 The sugar paste is water-soluble, making the clean-up super easy. A bit of warm water💧is all you need to completely remove it from the skin, clothes - or anything else for that matter. You won't leave your appointment with that sticky feeling like you would after using some other waxing methods.
🍬 Unlike other waxing techniques, sugaring removes hair in the natural direction of growth, which virtually eliminates the chances of the hair breaking. I recommend your first 3-4 sugaring sessions be no more than 3 weeks apart 🗓 in order to get the hair growing on the same cycle. This will ensure your results last much longer.
🍬 Sugaring is so much more gentle on the skin as it won't adhere to any live skin cells due to its water-soluble property - leaving you exfoliated and irritation/rash free! It's a GREAT and safe alternative for those with sensitive skin, eczema, Hirsutism, PCOS, and psoriasis.
🍬 And finally, and probably the best reason of all, there's no need to wait until your hair is grown out to the size of a grain of rice, approximately 1/4" - this is only recommended for your first session. Sugaring can remove hair as short as 1/16"! This means we're removing hair much sooner while the hair is in the active stages of growth and still attached to the blood supply. This can lead to atrophy of the hair follicle, which basically means the follicle has been damaged/weakened enough so that regrowth will be much thinner and slower and sometimes may not even grow back! 🙌🏼 No more prickly 🌵 legs in between sessions!

The sugaring hair removal technique - when done properly - virtually eliminates breakage and ingrown hairs. Overtime, and with regular sugaring, you'll notice a significant reduction in the amount of hair, as well as slower regrowth.
