🌿 Friday Thoughts 🌿

As the week comes to a close, here’s a gentle reminder:

You do not have to do everything today.

The laundry can wait.
The dishes can wait.
The unfinished projects can wait.

Take a walk.
Drink your tea.
Read a few pages of Scripture.
Sit outside for a few minutes.

Homes are not built in a day.

Neither is wellness.

Neither is healing.

Little by little, the small things become the things that shape our homes, our families, and our hearts.

Tallow isn’t new.

In fact, it’s one of the oldest skincare ingredients around.

Long before store shelves were lined with products containing dozens of ingredients, families were using simple fats and oils to care for their skin.

That’s one reason I continue to use tallow today.

Simple.
Traditional.
Intentional.

Most people think elderberry tea is only for fall and winter.

But have you ever tried it over ice? 🌿

My elderberry tea contains elderberry, ginger, cinnamon, and orange peel.

When brewed strong and poured over ice, it becomes a refreshing summer drink with a little more depth than your average sweet tea.

The orange peel adds brightness.
The ginger adds warmth.
The elderberry brings a rich berry flavor.

Simple ingredients. A completely different experience.

Hot or iced, it’s one of my favorite ways to enjoy herbs year-round. 💜

Some herbs become popular overnight.

Mullein isn’t one of them.

Mullein has been used for generations because people kept coming back to it.

🌿 Magnesium is involved in over 300 processes within the body.

It helps support healthy muscle function, proper nerve signaling, energy production, and even plays a role in maintaining normal sleep patterns.

The challenge is that many people simply aren’t getting enough.

Stress, certain medications, modern farming practices, and dietary habits can all contribute to lower magnesium intake.

That is one reason topical magnesium has become so popular.

Unlike oral magnesium supplements, topical magnesium is applied directly to the skin. Many families enjoy using magnesium sprays and lotions as part of their evening routine, after physical activity, or whenever their bodies need a little extra support.

I chose to pair magnesium with whipped tallow because tallow is deeply nourishing and helps leave skin feeling soft and moisturized rather than dry or sticky.

A little goes a long way.

One of the biggest misconceptions about clean living is that you have to replace everything overnight.

You don’t.

In fact, I usually recommend the opposite.

Start with one thing.

One ingredient to learn.
One product to replace.
One herb to become familiar with.

Sustainable change happens slowly.

A home built on wisdom is rarely built in a day.

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is stewardship.

Learn a little.
Apply a little.
Grow a little.
