My client came in for a root touch up after months of not seeing her and going to another stylist. It ended up being a whooole lot more than a root touch up to get her brighter 😮‍💨😂

Root color retouch + toning darker again ✨💅

My client is the besttttt, BUT girl gets bored of her hair pretty easily. We did a subtle air touch balayage/HL on it a few appointments ago—which turned out sooo beautiful. Not long after she wanted to go back dark. Luckily I was able to talk her into adding a darker root, chunky lowlights, and toning darker. This gives her the feel of being darker, without completely covering up where we previously bleached. She has subtle dimension which pops even more when she curls her hair!

While toner does not last as long, this approach allows the client & stylist to change up the tone of the hair. Every refresh we can change the shade of brown! This keeps her happy and gets that need for change out of her system, without adding future damage (WHEN she wants to go light again 😂)! It’s a win win!!
