Today, I was hit with a truth so heavy it twisted my stomach and left me reeling. I had to face the fact that I am not where I want to be and the reason is me. It’s not my circumstances, not my family, not religion, not my kids. It’s me. My fears. My doubts. The stories I tell myself about who I am and what I deserve. The weight of my own judgment and the tiny excuses I make every day that add up to a life I know I don’t want.

The truth is, I’ve been my own cage. My ego clings to comfort, my lack of belief keeps me small, and my fear of failure stops me before I even start. But what shook me today is realizing this nothing outside of me is holding me back. I’ve been asleep to my potential, and the thought of that makes me sick.

This isn’t about anyone else’s opinion. This isn’t about what I’ve been through or what I’ve been taught. It’s about me. And the moment to change isn’t bound by a date on the calendar it’s whenever I decide I’m done making excuses. That moment is now.

Awareness without action is nothing. And I refuse to keep giving power to the version of me that’s afraid to grow. My time is now not because of the year, but because I choose to wake up. Nothing no excuse, no fear, no external force will hold me back. The life I want is already waiting. I just have to decide to claim it.
