There are times in life when we all seem to question our situation at our current state, because it doesn’t quite line up with the picture we’ve painted for ourselves! This is most of all of us at this current space in time, we are not alone. I’m deeply saddened for a few reasons; the first is the disappointment felt by this years graduating class for not having an traditional graduation/commencement ceremonies, second first if not first first lol is for my fellow parents in arms. Especially for those of you like me who looked forward to this day before they even knew what school and learning truly meant. My first born and the underlying pressures of being such are now tasked to navigate into the uncharted territory of this season called life, to create the new norm giving them a footprint in history hopefully not to be matched by any other after them! This class across the board on each level of education has been given an foundation for resilience to truly push through innovate and create for the future to come! I’m proud of my daughter for staying the course in this chapter of her life,as it closes and she begins the next I prey she wills her foresight and continues to be diligent in all tasks and disciplined enough to follow through even when the path is a little hazy. Congratulations to my class of 2020 senior 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 from a proud Dad! I love you Noodle’s 😝😝😝.

Are you like Kristin in the video…struggling with dry hair right now? I can help! Here are a few tips on how to make sure your curls stay soft, moisturized, and looking good!

1) When you wash your hair, make sure you use a cleansing/clarifying shampoo FIRST. You have to strip away all of the product and buildup first so that you can then deposit moisture back into your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

2) Speaking of conditioner, while we’re all quarantined at home, take time to deep condition your hair! Not sure how? If you have a steamer or a hooded dryer, apply your conditioner and/or oil to your hair (coconut or sweet almond oil are good ones), cover with a plastic cap, and sit under it for 15-30 minutes. If you don’t have a steamer/dryer, apply your conditioner/oil and clip your hair up to hold it in place. Then heat a damp towel in the microwave for 30 seconds (you want it warm, not HOT!). Carefully wrap the towel around your hair and leave it on for 10 minutes. You can reheat the towel and repeat that process 2-3 more times as needed.

3) Finally, use moisturizing styling products! Even if you use a combo of products in your hair, make sure your base product (or the one you use FIRST before you put anything else on) is creamy and moisturizing. Look for natural oils listed first in the product ingredient list and descriptors like “nourishing” or “conditioning” on the label. You’ll use this product first before applying any styling gels that may have a tendency to dry the hair out.
Got any other hair questions you might be struggling with? Let me know in the comments!

Let’s have some fun with this! I want to make sure I’m giving you the EXACT information you need, so DM me a quick video of anything you want me to answer about your hair: products to use for a smooth blowout? How can I keep my scalp from feeling so dry? What’s a good detangling comb/brush? Send me whatever you’ve got! I’d love to share your questions (and my answers) with the rest of my followers because I’m sure you’re not the only one asking!

“But if you are as humble as this child, you are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭

My girls aren’t fearful because they know Who is in control. 🙏🏾

And they also really enjoyed seeing their children’s church service on tv this morning. 😉
