Hello Ladies,

Over the last few weeks I have ran into more than a dozen last minute cancellations. As a result my schedule, income and sanity have been out of sort. I try my best to be fair, however as a small business owner I must try to find an equal remedy to protect my business and myself. Since I have been in business I assured my clients that I would never require a deposit. I always felt that I shouldn’t get paid before I work. But I also know that if I had a regular job and I wasn’t my own boss I wouldn’t not get paid to go to work.

So where do I go from here?

Effective Immediately my policy will be as follows:

*Cancellations within 24hrs will result in 100% charge of service and no future bookings.

*Cancellation within 48hrs will result in a 50% Charge, and FULL service deposit will be required for rebooking.

*Cancellations within 72hrs+ will REQUIRE a reschedule for the following week (schedule permitting) and will result in a 25% charge and a 50% service deposit for rebooking or no future bookings will be allowed.

I understand that things come up and over the last 4 years I have been VERY lenient going on a case by case basis, however I have decided that I simply can not run a business on my feelings alone.

Any questions or concerns I will be happy to help, as always I have greatly appreciated you and ask that my time is respected as I value yours.

Here are some reason why you should switch to GEL X today:
1. TIME- Gel X nails allow for a faster application process meaning you and your client are not sat there for hours of filing just to complete the base. Also the reduced amount of filing minimises the risk of overexposure to dust and potential damage to the natural nails.
2. ODOR- Gel X nails also tend to have NO odor, making the salon experience more pleasant for everyone as monomer is not used at all throughout the process. This means no more headaches from the constant exposure to strong monomer used when doing acrylic nails.
3. AESTHETIC- Gel X nails have a more natural appearance and feel, which can lead to higher client satisfaction as this look is most desired in the industry where the nail extension seamlessly blends from the cuticle to the nail plate giving the appearance of the extension actually growing from the cuticle.
4. Longevity- Gel X nails last up to 4 weeks, I have seen 6, and never fall off. Reducing the amount of surprises a nail technician gets when a client booked for a fill requires a full set because they are either missing nails or bit them all of.

These are just a few examples why my salon offers only Gel X and Structured Manicures. Start your training this fall and begin the New Year with new and improved services.
