I originally paid $900 + $250 shipping for this setup, so at $500, it’s a steal for someone looking to add a shampoo station without paying full price.

There is nothing wrong with it other than the two items listed below:
• Recliner mechanism is broken - should be a quick fix
• Hose needs to be replaced

Otherwise, the sink and chair are in great condition and ready for a new salon, suite, home salon, or beauty space.

The Dimensional Brunette 🪄

Sometimes, I get it wrong..... This is probably not the kind of post you expect to see from a hairstylist, but I think it’s an important one. This beautiful color was from yesterday and while we both think it’s gorgeous… it wasn’t what my client wanted.

She has been sitting in my chair for 8 years, and over those years, she’s become so much more than a client. Yesterday, she came in ready for a change. We had our consultation, talked through the plan, and I genuinely thought I understood the vision. I was envisioning more of a copper red. She was envisioning more of a copper gold. And sometimes, even after a thorough consultation, wires get crossed. As I started blowing her out, she looked at me and said, “I don’t know if I like this.” And I am so glad she did!

We immediately brought her back to the bowl and softened everything with a deeper brunette gloss. She left feeling much better about it, but I told her to live in it, look at it in different lighting, and message me if it still didn’t feel like her.
This morning, she did. “Girl… it’s just not what I’m looking for.” So we’re getting her back in, and we’re going to make it right.

I say this all the time: you can be the best hairstylist in the world, but if it isn’t what your client wanted, then you didn’t do your job.
And that doesn’t mean you’re a bad hairstylist.
It means you’re human.

Our industry puts so much pressure on perfection. Perfect consultations. Perfect formulas. Perfect transformations. Perfect pictures. And yes, as professionals, we absolutely should hold ourselves to a high standard. But sometimes, despite our experience, education and best intentions, we misunderstand each other. What matters to me is what happens after. My client could have gone home unhappy and never said a word. She could have quietly booked somewhere else. She could have posted about her experience online. Instead, she felt comfortable enough to look at me and say, “Kara, this isn't what I wanted.” And even more importantly, she trusts me enough to say, “I want you to fix it.” That means more to me than a perfect appointment ever could.

There has to be trust on both sides of the chair. My clients need to trust me with their hair, and they also need to trust that they can tell me when something isn't right without hurting my feelings or making the situation uncomfortable. No ego. No awkwardness. No blame. Just communication, trust, a little grace… and another appointment.

Gloss & Glow🪄

We normally keep her in the copper-brown family, but this visit she was ready for a little change so we traded the copper for a rich, glossy chocolate brown. We paired her Gloss & Glow with a fresh haircut + Mini Scalp Spa for the full refresh. Can we talk about how healthy and long her hair is getting?! Regular trims, consistent maintenance, and a little extra scalp love are definitely paying off. Rich, shiny and healthy, just in time for fall. 🤎

My client comes in every 8 weeks like clockwork. She has natural gray, but she’s still more pepper than salt, so color alone wouldn’t get us to the pale yellow we’re looking for. Can you believe this is her natural lift?! 😍 We don’t even need to tone her as she lifts to this gorgeous pale blonde all on her own! She also opts out of toner because she wants to be as blonde and bright as possible.

My Platinum Card package is about more than just getting you blonde. It includes everything we need to help keep your hair healthy along the way with customized lightening, Olaplex + bond-building treatments, deep conditioning, haircut, blowout & style with an optional curl of desired. Getting you blonde is one thing but keeping your blonde healthy is just as important. 🙌

Yesterday, one of my brides left the sweetest note with her final payment, and it hit me a little differently than usual. There’s a part of working in the bridal industry that I don’t think we really talk about. You pour so much of your heart and soul into your brides and their wedding day. Sometimes we’re in contact for a year or more. From that first inquiry, to planning, the trial, little conversations along the way, and finally the wedding morning. You’re preparing for this one incredibly special day right alongside them and the day comes. You’re there for the nerves, the excitement, the laughs, the tears, the chaos, the quiet moments… and you get to create the hair they’ll see in their wedding photos for the rest of their lives. Finally, you pack up your things, hug everyone goodbye, and most of the time…that’s it. 😭

I’ve always known that part was bittersweet. Some of my brides already have their own hairstylist, which means I may never get the chance to create hair magic with them again. After spending so much time thinking about their hair, their vision and their day, it’s such a strange feeling when our little chapter together is suddenly over. Bridal hair truly is a labor of love. I get emotionally invested in these days because I genuinely care about the women sitting in my chair and making them feel absolutely beautiful.

So to all of my past brides, I hope you know that long after I’ve packed up my kit and left your bridal suite, you hold a little place in my heart. To my future brides…apparently I’m going to miss you before we’ve even started. 😂🥹

My blonding services are packaged intentionally, so you’re not being charged à la carte for every step your hair needs. Your appointment includes the treatments I feel are necessary along the way like deep conditioning, bond-building and reconstructing treatments. Everything is built into one package and one price. Getting you blonde is only half the job because keeping your blonde strong, shiny, and beautiful is just as important.🙌
