Survival instincts (stress) are awesome...on an acute scale.
Long term...not so good (as described in this photo).
The key to stress is not to deny or avoid it completely. Rather, learn to acknowledge the bodily functions you experience in reaction to stress. Notice if the stress is caused by a thought, or a real threat/thrill. Be gentle with your human self for being human! As you become aware, you become empowered to take control of your life, so your life isn't controlling you. You also learn to have more compassion for others who are stressed...which is pretty much everyone we know.

This is connective tissue in your body. When your nervous system feels a need to protect you for any reason (physical or emotional), this tissue hardens. When this tissue is hard, it creates 2,000 lbs of pressure on everything it's surrounding and holding together. That's like two horses standing on your nerves, muscles, tendons, etc. in places where this fascia is hard. Humans aren't great at telling their own nervous systems to relax so this tissue stays hard (and can for years) causing all sorts of issues. I'm trained to read your nervous system to find where it's holding and to release said "trauma" so there's a softening again.
