The blooming trees outside the office are absolutely off the hook! And junction creek has been raging. It is full spring!

It’s officially official! I have been a massage therapist for 15 years. Feeling so much gratitude for my teachers, colleagues, and even more so for my amazing clients. My practice is thriving and so fulfilling. As I say, I love my job, I help people to feel better and nobody is angry at me.

I am very proud to announce that I have been chosen as Durango Running Club's sponsor of the year!
I have been offering discounts for DRC members and providing skilled bodywork for our running community forever.
It is my passion and my life's work to help athlete's to feel their best and truly learn how to take care of themselves more fully.
This is a great honor and I'm over the moon!

It's finally here! I am opening Monday June 1st. I am taking appointments at this time. I have hammered out my COVID policies and procedures. I have received most all of the supplies I need and will go hunting for more this week.

Here is a brief summary of the policies I am implementing, I will be emailing my scheduled clients with detailed instructions:

pre-session screening: If you are presenting with a fever of over 100 deg F, have recently had any respiratory symptoms, sore throat or shortness of breath. If you have been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus symptoms. These are reasons not to get a massage.

If you are over the age of 65 and/or have an underlying health condition please be aware that you are in a higher risk category and take this into consideration when deciding whether or not to schedule.

session precautions (abridged version):
* client and practitioner will wear masks for the session, facedown for the client with a mask may not be practical.
*all permeable surfaces that the client may come in contact with (eve through a sheet) such as table fleece covering, pillows, client chair will have a plastic covering for disinfecting purposes.
*I will have a window cracked and a HEPA air filter going.
*I will have ample hand sanitizer available for during session needs as well as a touch free waste bin.
*I will schedule 1hr 45 min for a 1hr session to allow time for proper disinfection between clients.
*I will implement certain protocols to minimize the amount of time clients spend in my office other than time on table (virtual waiting room, emailed paperwork, virtual and contactless payment (Venmo, PayPal), scheduling via text after the session.

In addition I will only be scheduling 3 people a day for now.

Hi again everyone!
I'm working on reopening. I don't have a definite date yet, but am shooting for the third week in May after Memorial day weekend. I'm not scheduling anyone just yet, but am keeping lists of interested peeps.

I'm currently waiting on a bunch of supplies (plastic covers, disinfecting products, thermometers, masks, gloves, etc) that a lot of other businesses are vying for.

Stay tuned, be well!
