GREAT NEWS!!!! We won!! And we will continue to sparkle you in the future! 🧚🏻‍♂️

For those of you who don’t know what I am talking about, a few months ago, I was being visited by inspectors from the state board of cosmetology I was accusing me of doing hair without a license. The stores I did fairy hair at were also being threatened with fines for being a “mobile salon.”

Today, I found out the amazing news that what I do, and how I do it, does not fall under the jurisdiction of the board! So I am free to go about business as usual!! 🎉

Here is my statement for the Raleigh News and Observer:

I am overjoyed to hear this news and appreciate the board considering our perspective, and reaching a conclusion that allows us to continue to spread joy. It is so needed. I am grateful to my amazing attorney Chris Mumma; a fairy hair client who loves her sparkle! I am thankful to all my clients who were ready to sign petitions or have a "sparkle march" and the shop owners who host our pop ups. They reached out in my support and will share in my excitement of this great news!
