This season for many of my natural hair clients is one of the only times during the year that the warmth and humidity in the climate fail to exist, therefore, allowing them to enjoy the longevity of straightened hair.

As a natural hair girl myself, I understand that it is easy to fall behind on haircuts when you wear your hair predominantly curly or in protective styles. As a result of this neglect, silk presses are often followed by hair trims to maintain the integrity of the hair.

The silk press hair trims are necessary for our natural hair clients in order to ensure that they retain healthy hair length .

When hair splits, it continues to split up the hair shaft until the split end is cut off where it has stopped . Failure to get periodic haircuthair trims may result in more necessary hair loss during a haircut in the future.

Our beautiful client has never received a hair cut in her entire life. As a result, her split ends have traveled further up her hair strand resulting in her, having to get a little more than a trim.

However, it is our job as hairstylist to make sure that we give our guest the best experience and best hair. Keeping this in mind, my client and I were able to come up with a beauty plan that will allow us to cut her split ends over time while keeping her at a length that is comfortable for her!
