A little curl tutorial with Reannah Nap
Tips for salon style curls
🪞Practice the motion with your iron turned off to get used to it and avoid damage!
🪩Have the clamp facing forward and turn away from your face to avoid kinks or fishhooks!
✨Slide and wrap starting towards the top vs clamping at the ends and twisting all the way up. This way you will have more even heat and get a more soft curl. Plus our hair tends to be a bit thicker at the root so it can use some more heat and lift!
🍾Twisting while unwrapping the hair helps to encourage the hair to keep shape and add some texture. Think less shirley temple curl more natural curl or wave.
💖Pulling the ends to slightly straighten is optional but again helps to make it more salon style vs a ringlet curl!
🌞Heat protection is nonnegotiable we reccomend the joico heat hero!
💭Dry shampoo for those second, third or seventh day styles (no judgement) we recommend joico weekend hair!
🤩Texture spray for hold and added texture is always a good idea.. we love osis texture craft!
