Bugg & Birdie
All natural personal care products using cocoa & shea butters, almond, olive, coconut, essential oils Everything we make we use on ourselves every day.
Ashley has extremely sensitive skin due to various reasons and started making her own skin care products in 2013 to stop damaging her skin with commercial products. We wanted something all natural that not only would help our skin but also not harm our bodies in the process. We also wanted something we could use on a baby without worrying about the toxicity levels of the ingredients. Commercial lotions, creams, lip balm, and other cosmetics are full of preservatives, endocrine disruptors, phthalates, alcohols, dyes, chemicals, formaldehyde, "fragrance" (which is a catch-all term that could cover many ingredients that don't have to be named), parabens, petroleum distillates, and more. We were sick of looking up every ingredient and then finding out they were harmful. We wanted products that not only worked well but gave us peace of mind when we used them. All Bugg & Birdie products are handmade to order. They are for external use only, do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes. As with all cosmetic products, care should be taken before use. Please patch test product(s) on a small area of skin before use. Discontinue use if any irritation or reaction occurs. Please read ingredients on labels carefully as many of our products contain ingredients derived from nuts.

One of the main reasons I started making my own lotions and soaps were the threat of endocrine disrupters in every day products that we are slathering all over the biggest organ of our body, our skin. That’s not the only place these chemicals lurk.
“Store food in glass containers, not plastic. Above all, don’t microwave foods in plastic or with plastic wrap on top. Avoid pesticides. Buy organic produce if possible. Avoid to***co or ma*****na. Use a cotton or linen shower curtain, not one made of vinyl. Don’t use air fresheners. Prevent dust buildup. Vet consumer products you use with an online guide like that of the Environmental Working Group.”
Opinion | What Are S***m Telling Us? Scientists are concerned by falling s***m counts and declining egg quality. Endocrine-disrupting chemicals may be the problem.
Since everyone is washing their hands more than normal AND using alcohol based sanitizers, your skin can get very irritated and dry out. Try to moisturize often and if your skin is red or cracking, use something without fragrance to avoid further irritation.
You can put your favorite lotion on, olive oil, vitamin e oil, or similar moisturizer and wrap hands in plastic wrap or put your hands in plastic/latex gloves. Then stick your wrapped hands in oven mitts. Leave for 10-15 minutes. The reflected heat from your body inside the mitts will help the moisturizer pe*****te your skin better. Try taking some meditative deep breaths while you sit down and do a little self care.
Stay safe everyone. ❤️

Scientists Amazed to Discover 2,000-Year-Old Face Cream Still Containing Last Finger Imprints When archaeologists came across a tin containing an unknown 2000-year-old ointment they were both pleased and bemused. It was not discovered in a home as one might think, but rather near an ancient Roman temple in London.
