Its taken a little time to gather my thoughts and find the right words. Yesterday marked my last day as the owner of Reflections Hair and Nail Studio. After 42 years of driving the same roads and walking through the doors of the same salon—where I first started as an assistant—I have officially handed over the keys to a new owner.

Over the decades, we’ve seen our share of challenges—from navigating the uncertainty of COVID to the deeply personal battle of my husband’s illness. As many of you know, I stepped away from behind the chair during that time to care for him, but I remained committed to running the business.

To say I had an incredible staff would be an understatement. These women were not just coworkers—they were family. We shared so many laughs, supported each other through tears, and they held me up in the hardest moments—especially after Steve passed away. The past three years have been some of the most difficult of my life. Steve wasn’t just my partner in life—he was my right hand in the salon. If something broke—plumbing, electrical, computers—you name it, he fixed it. His absence made running the salon on my own incredibly challenging.

I’m also so grateful to my daughter Taylor, who always did her best to help me, especially in these past few months. Her support meant everything.

To our amazing clients—you were the heart and soul of Reflections. Many of you may not have even known I was the owner, and that was intentional. It was never my style to show superiority, I worked side by side with my girls. Thank you for your loyalty, your kindness, and your trust over the years. I hope we can stay in touch. Once a Reflections family, always a Reflections family.
