Your calendar fills up fast.
Work. Family. Appointments. Errands. Responsibilities.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, it becomes easy to put yourself last.
If your body has been carrying stress, tension, tight shoulders, low energy, or that feeling of being overdue for a moment to breathe, consider this your reminder to put yourself on the schedule too.

Massage is not just about relaxation. It is about making space to reset, release built up tension, and give your body the attention it has been asking for.

This October, make room for an hour that supports you.
An hour to slow down.
An hour to exhale.
An hour to feel better walking out than you did walking in.
Go ahead and add it to the calendar.

What date are you putting yourself on the schedule this month?

World Mental Health Day is a reminder that caring for your mind deserves the same attention as caring for your body. 💚

Mental wellness can look different from one day to the next. Sometimes it means slowing down. Sometimes it means protecting your peace, setting a boundary, asking for support, or simply giving yourself permission to admit that you are overwhelmed.

You do not have to wait until everything feels unmanageable to check in with yourself.

Take a moment today to ask:
How am I really feeling?
What has been taking the most out of me lately?
What would help me feel more supported right now?
Prioritizing your mental health is not selfish. It is part of caring for your overall well being.

Today, and every day, make space for your mind too.

Something new is coming to Total Body Wellness. 🌿

We’re excited to welcome BUMI, Body Ultra Manual Integration Therapy to our wellness center.

BUMI takes a highly individualized, whole body approach to movement and manual therapy. Instead of focusing only on the area that hurts, BUMI looks at how your body works together, including posture, gait, coordination, fascia, soft tissue, mobility, and everyday movement patterns.

The goal is to help you better understand your body, recognize patterns that may be affecting the way you move, and learn personalized strategies you can use beyond your session.

Because feeling better is only part of the goal.

We want you to keep playing. Keep riding. Keep gardening. Keep traveling. Keep moving. Keep doing what you love.

Stay tuned throughout October as we introduce you to BUMI and share more about this new approach at Total Body Wellness.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about more than wearing pink. It is about keeping the conversation going. 💗

October is an important reminder to pay attention to your body, stay current with recommended screenings, know your personal and family history, and speak with your healthcare provider when something does not feel right.

It is also a time to recognize the strength of those currently facing breast cancer, celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and support the families and loved ones walking beside them.

At Total Body Wellness, we believe caring for your health includes being proactive, informed, and willing to make yourself a priority.

This month, wear the pink, share the message, schedule the appointment, encourage someone you love, and help keep breast cancer awareness in the conversation.

More pressure doesn’t automatically mean a better massage.

One of the biggest massage misconceptions is that if it doesn’t hurt, it isn’t “working.”

Massage pressure should be based on your body, your comfort level, and the goal of your session.

There’s a difference between productive pressure and spending an entire appointment bracing against the table because the pressure is too intense.

During your massage, communication matters. If the pressure feels like too much or you find yourself tensing instead of relaxing, say something.

Your massage therapist can adjust the technique and pressure throughout your session.

Some days your body may respond well to deeper work. Other days, a lighter approach may be exactly what you need.

Effective doesn't have to mean painful.

The goal isn't to see how much pressure you can tolerate. It's to give your body the care it needs. 🤍

Your body shouldn’t have to reach the point of pain and stiffness before you give it attention. 💆‍♀️

Regular massage can help you stay ahead of built-up muscle tension and stress instead of waiting until discomfort becomes your reminder to book.

✔️ DO: Make massage part of your regular wellness routine.

✖️ DON’T: Wait until your muscles feel extremely tight, stiff, or uncomfortable before scheduling your next session.

Consistency gives your body the opportunity to relax, recover, and reset on a regular basis.

Think of massage as maintenance for your body, not just relief when something hurts. 🤍

📅 When was your last massage?

09/28/2026

Your body keeps track of more than you realize. 💆‍♀️

Long days, repetitive movements, stress, sitting at a desk, workouts, and everyday life can all leave your muscles feeling tight, tense, and uncomfortable.

Regular massage can help:

✨ Ease built-up muscle tension
✨ Promote relaxation
✨ Support flexibility and mobility
✨ Reduce feelings of stiffness
✨ Give your body dedicated time to recover and reset

And you don’t have to wait until your body is screaming for relief to book a session.

Massage can be part of your regular wellness routine, not just something you reach for when you're already uncomfortable.

Need a little more attention? Consider upgrading your session with deep tissue or hot stone massage for an enhanced experience.

Your body does a lot for you. Give it some care in return. 🤍

muscles carry you through everything. Long workdays, workouts, hours on your feet, time behind the wheel, stress, and even the everyday movements you barely think about. Taking care of them should be part of your routine, not something you wait to do until tension or discomfort takes over.

💆‍♀️ Regular massage matters. Massage therapy can help relieve built up muscle tension, promote relaxation, and support comfortable movement.

💧 Hydration matters. Your muscles rely on proper hydration to function normally, especially when you're active and moving throughout the day.

😴 Recovery matters. Rest gives your body time to recover from the physical demands you place on it and prepares you for what comes next.

Healthy muscles aren't built from one good habit. They're supported by the way you care for your body consistently.

So check in with yourself: Are you giving your muscles the same attention you expect them to give you every day?

Make massage part of your regular wellness routine with Total Body Wellness. 💙

Massage can do more than help you relax for an hour. It can address the tension your body carries from everyday life. 💆‍♀️

Hours at a desk, time spent looking down at a phone, repetitive movement, stress, and busy schedules can all leave the neck, shoulders, and upper back feeling tight and uncomfortable.

Regular massage therapy can help ease that built up muscle tension, support better mobility, and give your body the opportunity to truly relax and reset.

Pay attention to where your body is holding tension. Sometimes that tight neck or stiff shoulder is your body's way of telling you it needs a little care. 💙
