EMA vs MMA Acrylic

EMA Acrylic is more flexible which lessen the possibility of damage to your natural nail. EMA is more gentle on the nails and easier to remove properly.

MMA Acrylic (Banned by FDA in the 70’s) Many still use this product on nails because of how cheap it is. MMA is also known as “dental acrylic”. MMA is very difficult to remove properly, and can cause severe damage to natural nails due to how hard the product is. MMA also has a much more prominent smell the true nail acrylic.

All Salons will tell you they use EMA if you ask, so knowing some of the key differences can make a difference long term for your natural nail health. 💅

Often clients say when having their nails done, it helps them avoid biting and picking!

This client had very fragile nails & wasn’t sure exactly what service would best suit her. We cleaned up her cuticles, and did a soft gel overlay to help prevent further cracking and picking of her nails.

Natural nails can look just as nice as artificial nails with the right care and time!
