After years of battling breast cancer, and it distroying my right (dominant) arm, I have made the decision to close my studios. I have sold my products and am working on subleasing my beautiful Eau Claire studio to one of the Sapphire gals. This will be a great step forward for both of us. If, god willing, I ever see remission again, and my arm comes back, I would start slow from home. It’s been my life’s pleasure to form the friendships and relationships through my years behind the chair. Thinking if shutting down has haunted my heart the past few months. Happy 6th birthday to KISS (Kara Independent at Sapphire Salon) When I reflect back on the past 6 years, it’s 100% positive and I’m extremely grateful for my independence as a business! I have created stability and lasting relationships with many wonderful clients. I have had flexibility with my schedule that I have truly needed the past 2 years with my cancer battle. I have made many many new friends in the industry, some who work at Sapphire, some who came and left, and some I have just had the freedom to get to know. It’s been entirely a different experience than what I had under the very tight reign of Estilo. I’m thankful for everything I have been through that has taught me what I want, who I am, and what truly matters to me, my business and my family! Starting to take a few clients here and there. I’m struggling with my right arm so I may need a few weeks if you are a heavy foil or have thick hair. Please call/text if you would like to get in in the next few weeks. I will be booking 2 days next week, 3 the week after and then plan on Monday-Thursday 9-2:30 as radiation will be at 2:45 most days. I will also take chetek appointments if I can fill a day!
