Yesterday's 5k - Shannon's Phit Shed 5k in Cadott!!

It was still a bit hot and muggy for 8am, but we did it!

Even took home first place out of the two of us ladies for age group of women 20-34!! 💪 Finishing a bit slow at 28:20, but hey! We did it sweat, heat, wind, and all!

Tucker even joined me and did his very first registered kids 800 meter dash!!

He's always asking to go run with me, so we finally got him to. He started out really hard and got a bit tired out and wanted to stop, but Mama kept him running until the finish line!! 🥹

He was excited to get a medal just like Mommy! 😭

Definitely a proud Mama moment! 🥹🥰💪🔥

Today marks the start of my 11th year professionally massaging!! 😭

11 years ago I had my very first day working as a licensed massage therapist for the EC/CV area.

Through my time I spent just over 7 years working for someone until I finally wanted and was ready for MORE and decided to open my own business!

Almost 4 years out on my own now, and I feel like a BIG SMALL BUSINESS today!!

Love Yourself Massage Therapy LLC consists of just me. I. AM. The biz.
And I'm astounded to say that I officially have over 400 CLIENTS!! 😍🥹😭

Some are family. Some are friends. Some are other small biz owners. But lots are just people that have found me, or have been recommeneded to me, and have stuck around!

And even a few handfuls of them have even been with me 90% or more of my ENTIRE CAREER. 🥹😭 - Y'all are fricken amazing!

From every other week clients, to the ones that only come in when it's a treat to them 1x/year. ❤️

I'm a true believer in "your people will find you" and I feel that connection with all 400+ of you that I have to this day. 🥹❤️🫶

This isn't just a job for me. It's what I love to do

Help people. Make people feel better. Take their aches and pains away. Help them go into labor. All of it is what I love. 🥰

Today I've got 10 years completely down and AT LEAST 10 more to go!! 💪🔥❤️🫶

When we are not in our usual routine of our day and feeling out of sorts or rushed -

Slow down, stand up, take a slow, deep breath in and as you inhale feel the ground below your feet, under all of your toes, balls of your feet, your heels, feel how your arch does or doesn't touch the ground, and lastly, grip your toes to the ground, then, finally slowly exhale it all out.

Get yourself grounded before you start your day.
Before you start work.
Before you reply or speak to your children/spouse/family, or anyone.

Slow down. Get grounded. Get centered and focused. 🙏

Lutefiskman 5k today in !!

Not too shabby for hardly running since the last 5k!

Meaning, I literally only ran twice total between May 30th and today, and it was just this week, lol.

Finished 2nd in my age group! Literally 11 SECONDS behind the gal right in front of me! Bah!

But I'm still very happy with it all - clocked 3.25 miles in 28:47!!

Was amazing having my hubby and kiddos cheering me on at the start line and welcoming me back at the finish! 🥹
