What was once a hobby, then became a little bridal hair side gig, is now a full blown business with 30+ weddings each season. I appreciate every single one of you who choose to support my small business! It really means the world to me, especially in this next season of becoming a mom. I could not do anything without the support of all of my brides 🤍

2025 will always hold a special place in my heart🫶🏻

As this year ends, I’m filled with so much gratitude. My expectations for this year were completely flipped upside down yet it has been one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had.

As 2026 approaches, I will have a new salon home, a baby, and a lot more change. I will always hold on tight to the memories made, the way I was loved and poured into when I lost my baby, my Ivy & Sage family, the experiences I had with my clients, all of the beautiful brides I got to work with, and all of the in between.

Change is good, but so bittersweet. Thank you to everyone who made my 2025 so special. I love you! Cheers to the new year🥂🤍

I’m here for a long awaited update about my career changes! As December approaches, I am getting ready to say goodbye to my Ivy & Sage fam and change things up a little bit.

Starting in January, I will be working with my good friend at her new salon 🤍
I have been friends with this lovely gal for years now and I’m so excited to watch her create her dream salon, something she’s been talking about for a LONG time!🥳 It’s such a blessing to be able to watch her vision come to life, so follow along to see the process.

Bre is blessing me with an amazing opportunity to work at her salon in Chippewa starting in 2026. Like I said in my previous post, I’m making some changes to become a full time mama and I’ve cut down significantly on my hours in 2026. Chippewa is also much closer of a drive for me, as I live in Cadott, another huge blessing!

I have just over 2 months left until my baby boy arrives and I am soooo excited. Thank you to everyone who has been patient with me in this season of change. It’s bittersweet, but I’m ready to be a mom. 🩵

a lil life & career update:

As the holidays approach, the countdown for baby begins. With a few months left of pregnancy, I’m celebrating the new life about to be born and all that comes with it. I can’t wait to be a mom and meet our son. It’s something I’ve been praying for for a long time. 🩵

But, with the change of a baby, comes a lot more life changes as well. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided to leave my salon home, Ivy & Sage. Have you ever left a job that is so special to you, it’s no longer a job? Let me tell you, it’s not easy.
I have decided to downsize Hair by Julia J and go from business woman to mom. I’m still your fav hairstylist, I’m still coloring, cutting, and doing bridal hair. But, in this new season, it’s closer to home, and less frequent. Stay tuned to see all the details of the job change coming soon.
But, this post, is for my girls at 🫶🏻

Dear Ivy & Sage, thank you for everything you’ve blessed me with. Best friends, a growing business, endless opportunities, an uplifting environment, growth, learning, laughter. The past 3+ years have been some of my absolute favorite. I have come so far in my business and in my personal life, and it all happened with these special people by my side.
, thank you for taking me in, teaching me, loving me, and creating this wonderful space. There’s truly nothing like it. You are THE BEST.🩷

There’s no doubt I will still be getting my hair done at Ivy & Sage, attending education with my besties, and spending lots of my free time with these ladies. They will never get rid of me. 😆
