When I decided to go to hair school, opening a shop felt like a far-away dream. Today, it’s a space filled with familiar faces, support, and so much gratitude. Thank you to everyone who trusted me, supported me, and showed up for me. This dream would not have been possible without you.

As I reflect on the past year, I’m filled with a deep sense of fulfillment. I used to believe a job was just a job—something to pay the bills. My mindset has changed. I’m so grateful to say that I truly love what I do.

Getting to be real, present, and human with the people in my chair, on their best days and their hardest, is a gift. It’s the real conversations, the genuine connections, and simply showing up for people. Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives!

So, as we head into Year Two: come as you are, whether that be tired, excited, overwhelmed, joyful. You are always welcome here, on every kind of day.

In celebration of this year’s waterfowl season, The Modern Edge is releasing exclusive, limited-edition hats!

Inspired by my husband’s love for duck hunting and our dog Kimber’s favorite thing in the world — retrieving ducks — these designs are extra special to me. It’s truly something I treasure doing as a family.

This project was such a fun change from my usual work, and I can’t wait for you to get your hands on one! 🦆
