Fun fact. One of my bullies who gave me a plan to ☠️ myself (IN 6TH GRADE) actually ☠️ himself a few years ago.

Keep your head up. Keep going. There is something wrong with THEM not you. I pray they all find help. I pray all bullies find happiness inside themselves.

Family members can be bullies too. They disguise it as ‘we want what’s best’ while pushing their own control and agendas. It comes from a place of misery. I promise you it’s not you.

(My family is amazing though, so not directed toward MY family. My parents are incredibly supportive and I love them so much)

❤️ I received my esthetics license in 2009. I started doing wedding makeup shortly thereafter. 16 years! 16 full years of wedding makeup. It’s been great but it’s time to retire!

I have 3 beautiful kids and a wonderful husband, and I don’t want to miss a thing.

I’m still going to do beauty/skincare content but there will also be a lifestyle focus too.

One thing I’m way excited for: I use to not post things because it didn’t fit the ‘vibe’ of my Instagram wall. I am looking forward to being more authentically me!

Color seems to be coming back in, and I’m here for it! I’m seeing a lot of soft pinks and purples. 💜💕 I’d recommend trying this look out at a trial first!

Soooo I see this all the time. And I just need to talk about it.
Makeup artists using filters and editing. I think it’s false advertisement and sets the client up for failure. Here is what I see.

Client: I’ve had 3 trials and I just don’t like the look of the makeup. I don’t understand. The artists Instagram looks amazing.
Me: let me take a look at your trial pics, and a look at your artists Instagram.
Me: Oh. Yeah. Sorry, I’m truly sorry. Your artist is using heavy filters and other edits to make their work appear really beautiful. Unfortunately.

Please, artists. (I don’t think there are any I’m following so this is not directed toward my industry friends) stop doing this to your potential brides. This is so unfair. Imagine how your bride feels about herself when she looks in the mirror and doesn’t look like the people on your Instagram.

Here is an example of a straight from the camera example and the same one that is edited. It took me all of 3 minutes.

I wish there were rules against this. I think it’s unprofessional and unfair. Not only to your client and future client, but to women as a whole. We have an obligation to embrace imperfections and set people up for realistic expectations.

Full coverage tends to look like full coverage when dimension is not put back into the skin.

Tip! Study the clients natural shadowing/highlighting during the greeting and consultation to map out your makeup application. This is key to producing a natural looking full coverage look!
