The Story behind the Name...

So you may be wondering how I came up with the name “Shadz & Co.” for my business?

Well, here it is.......

In 1993, My husband and I moved to New Hampshire from Arkansas. In pursuit of finding the perfect location for me to do what I do.... I stumbled upon this quaint and classy Salon, Bladz & Co. (for scissor blades... obviously) in a small village type shopping center in the heart of Hampton Falls, NH. My very dear friend, Donna Bateman Christopher owned and operated this 4 chair Salon. It was a dream come true. I met and interviewed with her in a matter of days as she was really in need of a stylist. This amazing and wonderful lady not only taught me so much about the hair/salon business but became one of my closest and dearest friends. I will always treasure our friendship and truly benefit from what she has taught me.

When it came time for me to spread my wings and become independent, I needed a name for my business. Without much hesitation, I knew what it would be. “Shadz & Co........
