Sometime around the end of summer, the sun over Edina stops doing one of its jobs.

It still rises. It still lights up the parking lot at Southdale.

But it sits so low in the sky that the atmosphere strips out nearly all the UVB before it reaches you, and UVB is the only part of sunlight your skin can turn into vitamin D.

Researchers measured this in Boston, which sits south of Edina.

From September through February, skin exposed to sunlight on cloudless days made none. Not less. None.

It isn't the cold. It's the angle.

And the drop is quiet. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so your body stores it through the summer and draws it down over the winter.

Most people don't notice the balance falling until February, when winter already feels long enough.

Vitamin D also behaves more like a hormone than a vitamin.

Your liver and kidneys convert it to an active form, and receptors for it sit in nearly every tissue you own: bone, muscle, immune cells, brain.

That's why it keeps coming up in conversations about calcium, immune function, mood, and muscle.

Three quiet factors most people don't account for.

The window seat. Glass absorbs UVB completely, so light through it makes nothing.
Diet. Fatty fish, egg yolks, and fortified milk are most of the list.
Age. Skin makes less vitamin D as it gets older.

What does help is knowing where you stand and having a plan before the low sun arrives.

Vitamin D is available here as an intramuscular shot.

A licensed nurse administers it after a brief intake, and because the route skips digestion, uptake doesn't depend on what you ate with it or how your gut was behaving that day.

If you have a recent lab number, bring it. If you don't, tell us what your winters usually feel like and we'll go from there.

Ask at your next visit, or reach out and we'll answer.

Week three of PEPtember, and the questions at the front desk have changed.

Fewer people asking what a peptide is. More people asking which one, and how anyone would know it's right for them.

That was the idea. Two weeks to go, and we're still going strong.

Here's the honest part. Reading gets you to the second question. Reading can't answer it, because the answer isn't about peptides in general. It's about you in particular.

Two people can walk in with the same goal and walk out with different plans. One of them may walk out with no peptide at all.

The difference is your health history, anything you already take, and a physician who has reviewed both.

A peptide program at The DRIPBaR Edina is built in this order.

A consultation with our medical director. A peptide suited to that goal and to your history, from a licensed pharmacy. A starting dose set for you, and reviewed as the program goes on. Follow-up along the way, so the plan keeps pace with you.

Programs here cover the goals people bring us most: sleep, recovery, weight loss and metabolic support, skin and healthy aging.

Which program, and whether any program, gets decided in that first conversation.

For the rest of PEPtember, that conversation costs you nothing.

Enroll in any peptide program and the consultation with our medical director is free.

The physician who directs your plan hears your goals and your history first, before the plan exists.

The first color is showing in the maples around Edina. Two weeks is plenty of time to have this conversation properly.

Stop in or message us with your questions. If a peptide program isn't the right call for you, you'll hear that from us, and you'll leave knowing why.

Most people considering a GLP-1 stall on the logistics, not the science.

Three questions, usually.

What does it cost to find out if it's right for me? Who decides my dose? Am I committing to months before I know how I feel on it?

Our GLP-1 Kickoff was built around those three.

Start your GLP-1 journey for $50. That covers your consultation and your first injection.

The consultation comes first, and it's with our medical director. Your history, your current medications, and what you're hoping this does for you, all covered before anything is decided.

Your starting dose comes out of that conversation, not from a dosing schedule you found online.

From there, your plan runs weekly, and you pay as you go. One week at a time. Nothing paid ahead for a plan you haven't lived with yet.

A weekly GLP-1 works on appetite signaling.

What it can't do is know you. That's the point of beginning with a conversation rather than a purchase, and of keeping the plan under medical direction as it goes.

Fall in Edina is a reasonable time to begin something you plan to keep up through winter.

Bring your questions, including the ones you think are too basic. You'll get plain answers.

DM us for details.

Halfway through Peptember, a small confession.

Peptides were never the WHOLE plan.

They carry instructions. Your body still needs the materials to carry them out: fluid, B vitamins, minerals, amino acids.

That part of your routine didn't go on hold in September.

So, a reminder of what else is on the menu this month.

Your favorite drips:

100% Hydration for the week that ran you dry.

Metabolize with B vitamins, amino acids, and minerals, when a metabolic goal is the point.

Restoration for the weekend that asked a lot of you.

Your favorite shots:

For the days a full drip won't fit the schedule. A few minutes, then back to your day.

Rachel on our team has a favorite, and it isn't a drip or a shot.

Nutrafi Vitamin Sprays.

Vitamins in a small bottle you spray under your tongue or inside your cheek, where they absorb through the lining of your mouth.

No needle. No pill to swallow. A few sprays at home, on the days we don't see you.

Ask her which ones we carry and which one she reaches for first. She has opinions. ;)

None of this replaces the peptide conversation.

A licensed provider still sits down with you, covers what you're working toward and what's in your history, and every plan here runs under physician direction.

What the rest of the menu does is keep your body supplied while that plan does its work.

Sweatshirt mornings are back in Edina. Bring your goals, your questions, and whatever you read online this week, and we'll sort out what fits and what doesn't.

Stop in and join the fun.

A GLP-1 lowers your appetite. It does not lower what your body needs.

That gap is where most weight loss plans fall short.

Eating less means taking in less of everything, including the nutrients your metabolism runs on.

Protein intake slips, and lean mass tends to follow. Energy drops before the results show. Then the scale holds for three weeks with no explanation.

None of that means the prescription failed. It means the prescription was the only thing in the protocol.

Medical weight loss, done properly, covers all of it. The weekly shot is one line in the plan. The rest is built around how your body responds.

Start with peptides. A GLP-1 is a single entry on a longer list.

Different peptides are for different targets: appetite regulation, metabolic rate, recovery, body composition, sleep.

Which one belongs in your protocol is a clinical decision.

It follows a consultation and a review of your history and current medications, a physician oversees the prescription, and a licensed pharmacy supplies it.

Then the nutrient side, where clients feel the difference week to week.

NAD+ or B12 when energy drops faster than the scale.

The Metabolize IV, nine ingredients including B vitamins, amino acids, zinc, and magnesium.

IM Lean, the quick shot for days that have minutes to spare and not an hour.

What gets added depends on your history, what you take, and how you respond, not on a menu. Every one of them is nurse-administered.

If the number is moving and your energy is not, or the number stopped moving weeks ago, that's a data point worth bringing in. Book a consultation or send a message.

Expect a straight assessment. If something belongs in your protocol, we'll say so. If it doesn't, we'll say that too.

Search peptides for skin or hair and you'll notice the pattern fast.

Plenty of people selling peptides. Very few supervising.

That gap matters, because peptides are signaling molecules.

The same compound can suit one person and be wrong for the next, depending on health history, medications, and dose.

None of that comes up at an online checkout.

The basics first.

Peptides are amino acids linked in a short string, and they carry instructions between cells.

Research on beauty peptides centers on three places. Skin, where collagen is built. The hair follicle, where the growth cycle is set. The nail bed, where keratin is laid down.

They're used to support skin quality, hair, and nail strength, which draws more interest once collagen production starts tapering in your mid-twenties.

Here is where we don't bend.

At The DRIPBaR Edina, a licensed provider makes that call, starting with a peptide consultation.

What that consultation covers: Your goals, in your words. Your health history, current medications, and supplements.

Whether a peptide makes sense for you, and which one. Dose, pharmacy source, and how we follow up.

Your peptides are filled by a licensed pharmacy, dosed for you, under physician direction. More steps than a website asks of you, and the reason we offer peptides at all.

Minnesota furnaces come on in about a month, and skin, hair, and nails tend to show the dry air first. If that's when you start thinking about them, this is the month to ask properly.

That's what Peptember is for here: questions, straight answers, no pressure.

If it's your skin, hair, or nails you've been wondering about, ask in person or send us a message. We'll tell you what we'd recommend, even when the answer is not yet.

Minnesota packs a lot into Labor Day weekend. The Fair's final days, one more trip up north, and a few more drinks on the dock than a normal Saturday calls for.

Tuesday comes quickly after that. The 8 a.m. meeting is still at 8, practice pickup is still at 5, and you're running on less than you'd like.

A short explanation, since most of our clients want one.

Alcohol changes how your kidneys handle water. They release more than you're taking in, and magnesium, zinc, and other electrolytes leave with it. The enzymes your liver uses to clear alcohol depend on zinc and on B vitamins, so those stores fall too.

Water on Tuesday restores the fluid. It doesn't restore the rest, and anything swallowed still has to get through a digestive system that isn't at its best.

Restoration is the drip on our menu for this. IV fluids carrying Vitamin C, Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc, B12, B-Complex, and Taurine, clinically administered by our nurses and delivered directly to your bloodstream, so nothing is lost to digestion.

When to schedule it. Before you head up: a drip Thursday or Friday, so you start the weekend at a full baseline, not a deficit. After you're back: a drip Tuesday, so the fluid and nutrients return in one visit instead of slowly over the week.

Said plainly: Restoration supports recovery. It doesn't change how much alcohol your body has to process, and it's no excuse for another round. Eat before you drink, keep water within reach on the dock, and settle who's driving before the first one is poured.

Drink responsibly. DRIP consistently.

Enjoy the last long weekend of summer. Schedule the before this week and the after for Tuesday, right here in Edina. If you'd like help choosing days, send us a message. We're glad to talk it through.

Three days off. Recovery shouldn't take three more.

Long weekend plans tend to look the same. Sun, a cooler, a few drinks with people you like. Then Tuesday arrives and you feel it in your head, your stomach, and your energy.

Here's what's actually going on.

Alcohol is a diuretic. You lose fluids and electrolytes faster than you can drink them back. Processing it also draws on your B vitamins and magnesium.

So the next-day fog isn't bad luck. It's your body running short on fluids and vitamins.

That's why we say it the way we do:

Drink responsibly. DRIP consistently.

Especially before and after a day of drinking.

Before: get fluids and vitamins in ahead of time, so you start the day already hydrated.

After: replace what the weekend used up instead of waiting three days for it to pass.

Restoration is the one we'd point you to. Vitamin C, Magnesium, B12, and B-Complex, plus fluids, delivered straight into circulation. Your nurse handles the rest.

One more thing. A drip doesn't cancel out the drinks. So, from the people who'll see you Tuesday:

Pace yourself. Eat something real before the first one. Water between every round. Line up your ride before you need it.

Book one drip before the weekend and one after. Enjoy the middle.

The first question we ask about peptides isn't which one you want. It's what you'd like to change.

Sleep. Recovery. Weight management. Skin health. Energy that lasts through the afternoon.

Your answer shapes everything after it.

It's also why Peptember at The DRIPBaR Edina comes with an offer built around the conversation: buy a PEP Card during Peptember and the doctor consultation, a $40 value, is free.

A little context on why that conversation matters.

Peptides are short sequences of amino acids your body already produces and relies on.

Different peptides are involved in different jobs, from tissue repair and metabolism to sleep regulation and skin health.

Therapeutic peptides are selected to support specific goals, and selecting well depends on details a product page will never ask for: your health history, your current medications, what you've tried before, and what you're actually working toward.

That is what the consultation is for. A doctor, an unhurried conversation, and a clear recommendation on the right peptides for YOU. Including which ones to skip.

From there, the PEP Card credit goes toward the peptides on that plan. Nothing you didn't discuss, nothing you didn't choose.

Kids are back in school, the lake days are numbered, and the evenings are getting shorter. September is a sensible time to get intentional about the season ahead.

Questions first, then a plan.

Send us a message or stop in, and we'll get your PEP Card started and put your consultation on the books.

September just became Peptember at The DRIPBaR Edina.

Consider this your pep rally. All month long we're talking about all things peptide, and we're bringing education, not a sales pitch.

Because let's be honest, peptides are everywhere right now.

Your group chat has opinions.
Your feed is full of miracle claims.
Nobody slows down to explain what they actually are.

Here's the short version.

Peptides are small chains of amino acids that act like messengers, signaling work your body already knows how to do.

And different peptides support different goals:
- Weight loss support and metabolism.
- Muscle recovery and tissue repair.
- Deeper sleep and steadier energy.
- Skin health and healthy aging.

Which one fits you? That depends on your health history and your goals.

It's exactly why every peptide conversation here starts with education and medical oversight instead of a checkout page.

So bring us the questions you've been Googling at midnight. The ones your group chat can't settle. You'll get straight answers and zero pressure, all September long.

Peptember starts now, Edina. Let's talk.
