I’m not going to pretend that I’m not ignorant in many ways of the extent to which racial inequities permeate every crevice of our society. But I pledge to allow myself to be continually checked, educated, and do what’s in my power to dismantle the inequities. Looking at my G, or my friend’s beautiful baby boy, the hope and innocence in their eyes... I have to do everything I possibly can to make this world better for them!
