You may be saying....Why am I coming to you if I have to prep before hand?

In my years of experience this is what I have noticed.

Not only does it take longer for the service but your hair will also not come out as expected if you don't prep.
Here are a few easy tips!

1. This is the biggest one DO NOT put oil in your hair before this service. I actually recommend to make sure that you have no oils on your hair before being styled at all.
Why? Your hair will not last if it is OILY. This is 2024 we want free flowing hair with body in it not laid and greased down. I have had to shampoo clients 3-4 times just to get everything out. So if you have oil in your hair I ask that you shampoo it out well before your visit with a clarifying shampoo.

2. DETANGLE DETANGLE DETANGLE! This step can add so much time that was not necessary to a visit. Especially if you have just come out of an install or extensions or haven't washed your hair in a while. Remember start from the bottom and work your way up! Make sure from the base to the ends is DETANGLED.

3. Conditioning treatments before your visit help with making sure your hair stays healthy. Reach for moisture or protein if your hair is damaged and/ or fragile.

Most people with curly hair have different curly patterns, therefore a precise standard haircut will not always be effective. I customize all my hair cuts for each individuals diameter and/ or size of their curls.

My client has tight thirsty curls and grey. I colored her greys and used I create hold and texture foam to style her tight curls. Now she has a style that will last till her next wash day.
