Oh how I ve missed Germany ! 🇩🇪

This is probably the most vulnerable post I WILL EVER MAKE on a platform like this !!!
And for everyone thinking I shouldn't be posting a picture like this, I am sorry !!!
But these pictures tell my story, my struggles, my pain and my sadness, yet they also show my strength. ❤

When I tested positive for Brca 1+, I was upset, scared and terrified but I knew right away that I will do whatever it takes to make sure I will be around for my family.
So in Jun 2017 I underwent a Bilateral Mastectomy with delayed reconstruction. I will never forget waking up after an 8hr surgery, looking down on me and being completely FLAT. It hurt 😭 And as I write this post , I am remembering every feeling that I had, every thought that went through my head.......
I felt like something significant, something that made me a woman was taken away from me.
I know our b***s aren't what makes us US, but they d@$ # sure are a HUGE part.

Even tho I decided to take this step, no one on this planet could ve prepared me for the emotional roller-coaster after surgery. I also had a complete hysterectomy 3 months prior to my mastectomy, which put me in surgical menopause at 33 😱

So here I was june 2017, 33 years old , in full blown menopause and no b***s. So I felt like everything that made me a WOMAN was gone . I felt ugly, alone, sad and depressed. But I knew that these were things I had to do, to hopefully prevent Ovarian Cancer and Breast cancer.
Many people said things like:" Oh it must be nice to get a b**b job and your insurance paying for it!" Or "Omg, why would you get these unnecessary surgeries?" And at first I was mad but I quickly realized that these people just didn't understand the risks of a BRCA + person, because no one educates us about these Genetic Mutations.

Fast forward to Nov. 25th 2020.........
After 3 years of having constant pain and problems with my implant reconstruction, I decided to go ahead with the DIEP Flap breast reconstruction, where they use my own stomach tissue to recreate breasts. The surgery was 6.5 hrs long, 2 days in the hospital and a loooong revovery. Despite the pain and incisions opening up, I am pretty pleased with ....

Listen, it doesn't take a gym or fancy equipment to get active and exercise, if you really want to change you will find a way. Believe it or not but I am working out in my Garage! I also have to do modifications because of my hip, but I am doing it💪🏻 It is better to do something than nothing at all!

I am finally feeling like I am getting somewhere! The scale may not be my friend right now but my clothes keep getting bigger and bigger 🥰💪🏻
This shirt is 1 year old and I was never able to wear it, but wanted to hang on to it because it's from Florida.
Well today I found it in my closet and gave it a try........
And it fits ❤❤❤
I am not anywhere near where I want to be , but I am on the way there and I am not giving up!

Happiness makes us do crazy things and keeps us motivated! And because of FARMASI I found happiness and now see myself in a different light. I feel worthy, happy, successful and beautiful.
